Dr. Tracey King CSci, MRSB - EPO Scientific Coordinator
Tracey is a former parasitologist and fish biologist, who also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour. She is a founding member of Cardiff University’s parasitology research group and is affiliated with their OneZoo Centre of Doctoral Training as an Honorary Research Associate.
She has a lifelong love of ornamental fish, to whom she owes her scientific career, and has previously worked as a scientific advisor for the UK’s Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association and as scientific lead for the UK based charity, Humanimal Trust.
Author of a number of scientific papers, she has written on the wild caught ornamental fish industry and has given evidence to the UK’s Parliamentary Environmental Audit Committee’s Invasive Non-Native Species Inquiry and featured on the joint ITN/Royal Society of Biology documentary series, Biology for the Future.
A Chartered Scientist, she is a Member of UK’s the Royal Society of Biology and Associate Member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
