EPO has submitted to the EU authorities the following positions on animal health matters, mainly related to the EU Animal Health Law (EU Regulation 2016-429 on transmissible animal diseases), with:

EPO response to the European Commission’s public consultation on the draft delegated regulation  - Ares(2025)9547903- supplementing Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as regards animal health requirements for non-commercial movement of pet animals - December 2025

EPO joint response with OFI to the European Commission's public consultation on the evaluation of the EU Animal Health Law - April 2024

EPO response to the European Commission' public consultation on the draft act with additional rules for "registration and approval of establishments keeping terrestrial animals and collecting, producing, processing or storing germinal products" - May 2022

EPO endorsement of the OFI response to the European Commission's public consultation for the draft delegated act for “specific rules on official controls performed by the competent authorities on animals, products of animal origin and germinal products" - December 2021 

EPO endorsement of the OFI response to the European Commission's public consultation for the draft delegated act for the types of fish farms exempt from registration & record-keeping rules: EU rules to prevent and control animal diseases also apply to fish farms (aquaculture establishments) - July 2021
